BB Creams- Are they worth it?

I held off on the BB Cream hype for a while, convinced that a light coverage was pointless and that my red and spotty skin could only be saved by a full coverage foundation, how wrong I was! My sister convinced me to try her Rimmel BB Cream 9-in-1 Skin Perfecting Super Makeup, I was impressed by its coverage, but it felt a little drying on my skin. It had been enough to convince me to give BB creams a go. After much research I decided to buy the Maybelline Dream Fresh 8 in 1 BB Cream.

It's a really good balance of moisturising and coverage. It says you can use without a moisturiser but I tend to still use one on my dry areas. Initially I used a foundation brush to apply it but I've found it blends better if you apply just like your moisturiser. My only gripe was the promise of SPF 30. I used this on a day out in the sunshine and came back with the reddest nose I've ever had, DO NOT USE THIS INSTEAD OF SUNCREAM! I learnt the hard way, so you don't have to make the same mistake. Overall a great product and would recommend it for those looking to even out there skin tone, but don't want the coverage of a heavy foundation.
